We took a side trip from a stay in Cancun to spend time in the Vallalodid area, and decided to relocate there so that we would be closer to the sights we wanted to see. Hotel Colonial Zaci was the perfect option for us. It has comfortable rooms and a spectacular location close to Parque Principale, a variety of wonderful restaurants and cafes. The private parking made for safe parking of our rental vehicle and was easy to access. Most notably, when one of our group members left some personal belongings behind, including a passport, the hotel went above and beyond to help us get them shipped back to Cancun so we didn't need to drive all the way back to Vallalodid. I highly recommend this property.

I stayed in Hotel Colonial Zaci for a single night for a quick stay in Valladolid. I overall would say it was a good stay but there are something’s that could be worked on. The rooms themselves look very nice but the bed was not very comfortable, we both did not have trouble falling asleep as we were really exhausted from the travel all day to get there and from flying into Mexico but after waking up we were a little sore. The picture of the bathroom is without the lights on so isn’t well lit but the bathroom again appears nice. We followed the instructions about the hot water on leaving the shower running for 5 minutes but the water never warmed so we took cold showers. The room itself is minimally separated from outside and not very well insulated so we woke up a few times during the night from outside noise. The best things about the hotel are the cost is reasonable, and the location which is a very short walk to the city center is its best feature. I would not say it’s a bad hotel, the staff was kind and helpful and everything was clean but if I returned to Vallalodid I would likely stay in another location.

I really enjoyed my four nights in this hotel. It is very central, the reception is always open and the staff is friendly. The rooms have small security lockers with a pin pad that fits wallets, passport and other small things. For me this is very important when I go on day trips! The rooms are pretty and have a ceiling fan and an AC. The only thing that I missed was s fridge. Also, due to the wind tue "do not disturb" sign fell on the ground and they cleaned my room even though I didn't want it to be cleaned. So it is better to just clamp the sign under the door if you want your room not to be cleaned. The hotel also has a rooftop where you can read in the sun. Prices were cheap. Would book again!
